YouTube pauses playback after a stretch without interaction, to avoid streaming to an empty room. With autoplay on it appears after about 60 minutes in a browser, and 30 minutes on mobile — which is exactly what NonStop Youtube handles for you.
How do I stop YouTube pausing automatically?
Install NonStop Youtube and leave it on. When the inactivity prompt appears, it clicks the confirmation for you and playback continues — automatically, even in a background tab.
